Breaking the Silence

Yes, I am alive. After a lengthy skirmish with some flu-like sickness, I have turned the corner. Or as we would say in New Orleans, cornder:) I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, or at least outside my window. I have not left my apartment since coming home Friday afternoon-I am about to go crazy!  But, tomorrow is the day, I can feel it!   I am so thankful for my wonderful husband for taking care of me.  I have the BEST husband ever: he’s been praying, cooking, cleaning, coming home early, making sure I’m comfortable and everything else.  By the way, he makes a mean chicken and dumpling soup.

I love you all, Thanks for the messages and prayers. I’ve been missing everyone! Here are some verses that have helped me through this weekend.

Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Psalm 73:25-26

Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often. 1 Timothy 5:23

  1. I wasn’t laughing, but then I threw back some wine… now I’m REALLY laughing…

    (and losing my credentials)!

Glad you’re feeling better! We missed you!

  2. @chilly: LOL.

    Glad you’re better, Fred.

  3. I’m still amazed that I didn’t get sick. I should be knocking on wood I guess. My nose is running something fierce this morning.
